A fresh start is closer than you think
Whatever you’ve done and wherever you’ve been, Jesus offers complete forgiveness and a brand-new life. Here’s how.
The honest truth
No-one is perfect. Not only were we born into a sinful world, but we have all sinned. We’ve done wrong and offended God our creator. That gap between us and God is something we can’t fix on our own, no matter how good we try to be.
What God did about it
Jesus Christ died on a cross to pay the consequences of our sins for us. It doesn’t matter what your past looks like or what your circumstances are. He is willing to forgive. That’s the heart of the Gospel: not what we can do for God, but what He has already done for us.
How to respond
Receiving that forgiveness starts with a simple, sincere prayer, admitting where you’re at and inviting Jesus into your life. If you’re ready, you can pray this right now, wherever you are:
“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner, and that your son Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. Forgive me for my sins, and come into my heart.”
What happens next
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, welcome to the family! It’s important that you maintain your salvation. Start by finding a local Christian church where the Gospel is preached, and keep learning more about Jesus.
If you’re in the Frankston area, we’d be honoured to be that church for you. Come along this Sunday and tell us if you prayed that prayer. We’d love to celebrate with you and help you take the next step.
Don’t walk it alone
Faith grows best in family. Join us Sunday at 10:30am or 6:00pm, or Wednesday at 7:30pm, and let us walk with you.
