A local church with a worldwide vision
The Potter’s House Church Frankston is a Bible-believing local church, and part of a worldwide fellowship of over 4,300 churches in more than 138 countries.
That all would come to know God
Through Jesus Christ, all mankind would come to know God, to walk with Him, serve and obey Him.
We’re committed to fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship and church planting, here in Melbourne, across Australia and overseas.
You might meet us out and about: we love sharing our faith through Christian bands, movies, dramas, street preaching and door-to-door conversations. It’s not about religion. It’s about people meeting Jesus.
Our pastor
“My name is Vishal Shinde and I serve as the Pastor of the church, with my beautiful wife Brie-Hannah, baby boy Ezra and baby girl Calia.”
Our story
Our fellowship began in 1970, when Pastor Wayman and Nelda Mitchell arrived in Prescott, Arizona to lead a small congregation. As young people in the community were radically converted, a simple conviction took hold: people whose lives had been changed by God sought to share with others what He had done in them.
From a coffee-house concert ministry that drew hundreds, the church began training and sending couples into full-time ministry, starting in 1973. Churches were planted across the southwestern United States, and in 1978 the first missionaries arrived in Australia, where they quickly discovered that the Gospel worked here just like it did back home.
Today that one small congregation has grown into a fellowship of over 4,300 churches across 44 US states and 138 nations. The Potter’s House Frankston was planted out of the Footscray Potter’s House, and we carry the same heartbeat: changed lives sharing a life-changing Gospel.
