What we believe
Our faith is anchored in the Bible, the inspired Word of God. These are the convictions that shape everything we do.
Our statement of faith
One God, Three Persons
There is only one God, and He is eternally existent in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father
The Creator made humanity in His image for relationship with Him, and calls people back to Himself through Christ after humanity’s rebellion.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is eternally God. Through Him all things were made. He left Heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary.
The Holy Spirit
God’s Spirit empowers believers, sanctifies them, and conforms them to the image of Christ.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Speaking in tongues after conversion demonstrates the Spirit’s fullness and is evidence of His gifts.
The Authority of the Bible
The Bible alone is the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal.
The Atonement
Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world.
Salvation
Salvation is a free gift of God, appropriated by faith, through repentance and accepting Christ as Lord.
The Christian Life
Believers pursue holiness through sanctification while enduring spiritual trials.
The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, where believers are equipped to fulfil the Great Commission.
The Ordinances
Baptism and Communion memorialise Christ’s work and the believer’s identification with Him.
Things to Come
We affirm Christ’s bodily return, the resurrection of the saints, the judgment, and eternity.
Marriage
Marriage is an institution ordained by God, intended as a lifelong union of one man and one woman.
Faith is better explored in person
If you’re curious about any of this, or wrestling with it, come along to a service or get in touch. We love honest questions.
